How do I upload an audio post without reblogging from someone?

Please help. I have absolutely no idea how to do this, and I’d like to show you the fantastic Dave Matthews song I have newly discovered.

I thought I would answer this here because I figured it may be too long.

If you have the file saved to your harddrive, I believe you just browse around for it and then upload it. Otherwise (and this is what I do), you can go to Playlist.com and search the name of the song you’re looking for. Of course, not all of the songs you want will be available. Anyways. Once you’ve done that, click the link under the song information that says “Visit site”. This will bring you to the site that the file was found at. From there, you will see in the topbar that Playlist.com gives you the link to the song file.

You can copy and paste that link into the Audio section of a Tumblr post and voila! Except you might want to copy and paste it into your browser first to see if it goes to, for example (if you have QuickTime) a QuickTime player that plays the song. If not, the link is most likely broken and won’t work.

Good luck! Hope this wasn’t too confusing. And I can’t wait to hear that Dave Matthews song. I absolutely love him.

suicideblonde & I watched the extended edition of King Kong last week, along with all the extras. As fellow Peter Jackson lovers know, watching an EE is an event. One that fills you with love for PJ, his cast, his film, his special effects crew, his vision, his heart, his home, and all the fun little tidbits in between.

I was overwhelmed by the King Kong facts and stories we were treated to, so much so that I can’t even really form the words to talk about them just yet. Adding to that, I’m also a gigantic Naomi Watts fan and have thousands of pictures of her from this time in her life. I’m excited to share a lot of it, but I also don’t know where to start. So how about I start with this adorable shot of Naomi & Peter with Adrien Brody & Jack Black posing together in front of The Venture during a press conference to announce filming of the movie.

Oh no. Please don’t do that! I know exactly what you’re feeling, trust me, but I’m learning that life is not about that. I mean, I know you know it’s stupid. But really…

Let me see…I don’t know how to explain this, but I think that when we get a little more learned in the ways of life, we’ll realize. I’ve talked to my (much) older cousins; heard them talk amongst themselves. About how they used to care a lot about image but how they never think about it anymore. There’s truth to that, I think. When you get older you are more accepting of yourself. But I think that a lot of us younger people need to realize it now, when it’s most important to us.

Anyways, if you didn’t take away anything from my rambling, just know that you’re a wonderful person and if this guy can’t see that, then he’s not really looking. I am walking clichés tonight, but the thing about clichés is that they, for the most part, are true.

I absolutely love Simon & Garfunkel. I guess I could say they were among my “childhood music”; where my dad liked to play Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and Yes (among others) my mom preferred S & G. (And both loved the Beatles, of course.) Anyways, their music is absolutely the best, I listen to a bunch of their songs at least once a week. Gotta love them.
